sooooo..... I bought another bicycle. A Giant Cypress DX Hybrid. The guy who was selling it was just sick of his son buying things and then just storing it at his house and never touching it. Score 1 for Mr. Ontop! Craigslist is the best place to buy bikes, hands down.

$100% of bikes on Craigslist are stolen

Eh, i just go with 100% of bikes on C/l are probably not worth the time wrenching to fix them up. maybe 80% stolen.

Pretty sure this one wasn’t. The guy selling the bike is a cop.

But cops have access to more stolen bikes than anyone

That’s the plan. Finally got something I can keep up with my wife on. My beach cruiser is nice, but no way I can keep up with her on the roadbike.

I bought an older version of this bike for my father-in-law. He loves it. I think the best part about it is the fenders. Fenders are AWESOME when the road is wet, especially if you are commuting by bike. When it isn’t raining, they keep the random lawn overflow from leaving a stripe up your back.

Nice. I’m buying a road bike today on Craigslist and just retire my hybrid to grocery getter status.

That’s just a pic, not the actual bike. Mine doesn’t have fenders, but here in droughtsville CA, splashbaack isn’t such a problem.

Too bad. When I was commuting buy bike, every route I chose provided multiple opportunities for a back stripe.

I’ve got a 60 mile round trip commute, so no bike commute for me. pleasure riding only.

That’s the perfect cover!

You do what I do. Draft behind them. I've been behind CAT 1 racers (in a normal ride at an abnormally fast pace I wouldn't have done) and drafting behind them 5 inches away works. Just be predictable and communicative.

On a flat, maybe but the first time we hit a hill and I’m on my single speed cruier...I’ll be left in the dust.
